Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, refuted rumours that he abandoned Bola Tinubu’s campaign train for the APC’s presidential nomination.
Bello said on Sunday that his steadfast support for Tinubu and his running companion, Kashim Shettima, in the 2023 presidential election remained unabated in a post on his verified Facebook page.
There have been rumours that the Kogi governor may have dropped the Tinubu campaign, but not at Insightnaijatv.com.
The Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s National Youth Coordinator may have been influenced by the outcomes in the North-Central state before to the November gubernatorial election, according to the report.

Bello refuted this and declared, “Tinubu/Shettima 2023 has 100% of my unshakable support. Godspeed, APC! The Federal Republic of Nigeria is blessed.
The rumour also surfaced just a day or so after a significant figure in the Tinubu-Shettima campaign abandoned the APC.
On Saturday, Tinubu’s director for his presidential campaign, Naja’atu Muhammad, announced his resignation.
Naja’atu served as the Director of Civil Society for the APC’s presidential campaign. One month before the presidential election, he announced his resignation.
In a letter of resignation to APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, she expressed her desire to help save the country rather than stay in party politics and lamented the plight of the country.
