Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has canceled his planned crush in Aba, Abia State.
The priest was cautioned by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) not to hold the crusade due to security concerns in the region.
Due to security concerns, Kumuyi, who had previously declared that he would continue with the crusade as planned, has canceled it.
The crusade was supposed to take place in Aba between May 24 and May 29, 2022.
The Aba crusade has been canceled, according to a Global Crusade representative with Kumuyi who spoke with Punch on Saturday.
Pastor James Akpofure, the chairman of the crusade’s organizing committee, had previously flagged a security risk in the region in a statement.
“As there are currently some security challenges at the intended alpha location (Aba, Abia State, Nigeria), the Global Crusade Convener, Pastor (Dr) W.F. Kumuyi commiserates with our people in Abia State and will be praying along with them for God’s Divine Intervention,” Akpofure said.
