A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba is currently in trouble with supporters of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The former Speaker incurred their wrath after his recent submission in which he claimed that the North has not benefitted from the tenure of President Buhari.
Recall that the former Speaker recently said that “the perception that the current president is against southerners has become a reality. I think he [Buhari] is not managing this country in a way that accommodates politics”.
Mr Na’Abba says “even in the North, there are complaints about him” hence they see no reason to accept power shift since President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime has been a “waste” to the region.
According to him, this is part of the reasons many northern elites and politicians are opposed to the zoning of the 2023 presidency.
In his view, Buhari is a “highly opinionated” leader who has failed to carry along stakeholders in governance.
However, his opinion and submission did not sit well with supporters of the President and his administration who have now come out to challenge and drag the former Speaker.
Na’Abba was accused of being a failed politician who is only trying to use Buhari’s name to gain relevance and score cheap political points.
