The registration period for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will run from Saturday, January 14 through Tuesday, February 14, 2023, according to a statement from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
This information was released in a statement on Tuesday by the board’s Head of Media and Information, Mister Fabian Benjamin, who claimed that at the conclusion of its management meeting held in Abuja, the examination body announced some key dates for its activities in 2023.

The Direct Entry registration would start on Monday, February 20, and run through Thursday, April 20, 2023, according to a representative for JAMB, but this does not include registration for DE application documents.
The board also set the date of its optional mock UTME on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
In order to prevent a scenario where candidates indicate their interest in sitting the mock-UTME, leading the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to stay away on the day of the examination, they are advised to pay the sum of N1000 service charge for the Computer-Based Test centres for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration.
The board set Saturday, April 29, 2023, for the conduct of the 2023 UTME, which is anticipated to end on Monday, May 12, 2023, after taking into account its other obligations.
