According to Fani-Kayode, some foreign powers are aiming to partition Nigeria and spark a new civil war.
The former minister confirmed this in a tweet on Monday morning.
According to Fani-Kayode: “The day Nigerians appreciate the fact that there are foreign powers and forces that seek to divide us and spark off a second civil war in our country will be the day that they would have taken their first step to national redemption. May God help us.”
Between 1967 to 1970, Nigeria underwent its first civil war.
The conflict was between the Nigerian government and Biafra, a separatist state that declared independence from Nigeria in 1967.
