On Monday, 25th October, 2021, President Muhammadu Buhari swore in two Independent National Electoral Commission National Commissioners (INEC).
Prof. Muhammad Sani Kallah (Katsina State) and Professor Kunle Cornelius Ajayi are the new National Commissioners (Ekiti State).
Kallah and Ajayi are among the six senators who were approved by the Senate in July of this year.

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, revealed this in a statement.
On September 15, 2021, President Buhari swore in three of the cleared National Commissioners.
Before the official launch of the eNaira and the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day symbol, the swearing-in took place.
