Aliko Dangote, an African billionaire business entrepreneur, has climbed to 72nd place on the Forbes list of the world’s richest men.
InsightnaijaTV reports that the development was revealed in the most recent statistics on Bloomberg’s billionaires’ index.
The Nigerian businessman and chairman of the Dangote Group now has a net worth of $20.4 billion.
With a net worth of $19.2 billion, Africa’s richest man was ranked 97th richest person in the world in January 2022.
As seen by InsightnaijaTV, Dangote has held the top rank on the continent for the past 11 years.
The billionaire surpassed Roman Abramovich, the Russian owner of English Premiership League (EPL) club Chelsea FC, who is presently rated 132nd on the list of the world’s 500 richest individuals, to become the 83rd richest person in the world in February.
On the list of the world’s 100 wealthiest people, Dangote is the sole African billionaire.
