Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu said on the most recent World Teachers’ Day that “teachers are the catalysts that have the potential to shape the trajectory of our society.”

The Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu, stated the aforementioned at the World Teachers’ Day Leadership Conference, which was held at the Multipurpose Hall in Ojo with the theme “Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers” and was organised by the Local Government in Collaboration with Wholistic Edu-Consult and the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Ojo Chapter.

Hon. Idowu praised the Teachers for being proactive in our children’s education and academic process through inclusion and involvement in education, saying that Teachers have the honourable task of planting the seed of knowledge, imparting values, and developing community.

According to Hon. Idowu, Teachers have the legitimate responsibility of cultivating the seed of knowledge, instilling values, and fostering in our students that extends beyond the classroom, into the very fabric of our communities, and the future of our Nation. She commended Teachers for their positive promptness to the education and academic process of our children through education inclusion and involvement.

The Executive Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the difficulties while providing teachers the assistance they require to excel in their priceless contributions to the society, stating that his administration has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of education in the Local Government Area.

The Executive Chairman’s ambition for improving and raising the standard of education in the region was praised by the Convener, Lead Trainer, Wholistic Edu-Consult, Mrs. Olubunmi Odiaka, in her welcome address. She gave the Teachers accolades as well for their commitment to the academic growth of their students and pupils.

Professor Babajide Abidogun, National President of the Early Childhood Association of Nigeria (ECAN), urged the teachers in his lecture to take a more proactive approach to the educational development of their students and pupils in order to improve the community.

Dr. Bisi Akande, who spoke on leadership skills for teachers in the twenty-first century, Mrs. Yinka Ogunde, who spoke on personal development for teachers, and Coach Ayanfe-Oluwa Wole Ojo, who spoke on communication skills for teachers in the twenty-first century, were asked to speak as keynote speakers.
