The group said that, despite their continuous presence on the streets for ten days, President Bola Tinubu seemed to be ignoring their concerns. The nationwide protest had started on Thursday, August 1, 2024, and ended on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Recall that InTv reported that protesters, calling for the restoration of the fuel subsidy and a decrease in electricity rates, among other things, staged protests in the streets of Lagos, Abuja, and other cities.

The demonstrators held placards and banners with inscriptions like “Reinstate a corruption-free fuel subsidy,” “Rent should be paid monthly,” and “Nigerians are weary of ineffective leadership,” and they persisted in their demands for 10 days.
