Tuesday saw a private meeting between Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, and His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri.
Sources claim that the parley took place within the monarch’s private house in Warri, Delta State.
According to reports, Prince Adebayo, an international lawyer and owner of KAFTAN TV, visited as part of his continued efforts to realise his dream of becoming president.
The SDP presidential candidate arrived at Atuwatse III’s private residence in a Rolls Royce and was escorted by Prince Yemi Emiko, a member of the royal family, to see the king. Atuwatse III recently celebrated his first year in the kingdom.
Following a brief greeting and photo opportunity with Atuwatse III, our correspondent learned that the SDP presidential candidate entered a private meeting with the traditional monarch.
The meeting’s specifics were unknown at the time this story was filed, although sources speculate that it might have been related to the general election in 2023.
Some members of the SDP presidential candidate’s campaign organisation, which is run by Mr. Godwin Osigbeme, were there, as well as Chief Kenneth Gbagi, the party’s nominee for governor of Delta State.
