President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received congratulations from Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Tajudeen Abbas for winning the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
Dr. Abbas said in a statement that the dismissal of the petitions challenging Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election of February 25, 2023 only strengthened the legitimacy and credibility of his government and administration.

He pointed out that while the petitioners had properly exercised their rights by visiting the tribunal to raise their complaints, the court had also fairly considered the arguments and supporting documentation before reaching its decision.
The court, according to the Speaker, has lived up to its reputation as the true arbitrator in any matter based on how it decided on the petitions related to the presidential election that were brought before it.
According to him, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which correctly certified Tinubu the winner of the presidential election based on the votes Nigerians cast for the president, has been vindicated by the ruling.
The Speaker urged all Nigerians, regardless of their political, religious, or ethnic affiliations, to support the Tinubu administration in its efforts to make Nigeria a secure and prosperous place for all.
