British sprinter Derek Anthony Redmond is now retired. He held the British record for the 400-meter relay during his career at the world and European Championships.
In one of sports’ most illustrious and remarkable moments, the Olympic 400-meter semifinal in 1992, Derek Redmond was favoured to win a medal.
Although Derek, who was in excellent shape going into the Barcelona Games, had posted the fastest time in his heart, he felt intense agony just 150 metres into the race. He tore his hamstring and fell to the ground in pain. He continued, unwilling to give up and determined to complete the race.
As he approached the corner, he was joined by his father, Jim, who barged past track officials, waved them off, and came to Derek’s side, telling him, “You don’t have to do this.” “Yes, I do,” he said, “and we’re going to complete this together!”
Together, father and son persevered, and right before the finish line, Derek’s father let him go to finish his race, which received a standing ovation from a crowd of over 65,000 people. You CAN’T FAIL if you don’t give up.

Prior to the big feet Sunday, Amusan stated on her Twitter profile in November 2016 that although she may not yet be well-known, she would persevere until she achieved her goals.
“I believe in my abilities,” Amusan stated after the event.
“A dream has come true. When I saw it on the screen after the semifinals, even though I knew I had it in me, I couldn’t believe it. It was only a matter of time, though “.
Amusan disclosed that she woke up with heavy legs on Sunday morning, but when she told his coach, he replied, “Your mind is just playing tricks on you. You are ready to go”. She was indeed ready.

According to reports, Amusan travelled alone to the competition with her own funds to represent Nigeria rather than the US, where she usually trains. She cried as she saw herself win a gold medal for a nation that did not care about her or support her (just like no one currently appears to be willing to help you), and millions of people around the world wept with her (the cry of success that could not be stopped)
No matter how many times a man falls, what counts is his capacity to recover from each seemingly hopeless circumstance.

Put this plan into action whether you’re prepared or not. With a positive thought, attitude, and action, begin your day. Accept responsibility, and you’ll seem to have superhuman abilities to accomplish your goals when your passions are strong enough.
An unbeatable mix for success is patience, perseverance, and perspiration. Go for it.
I noticed while watching NBA players that their winning strategies have less to do with their willpower and more to do with their routines. Yes, of course, it requires willpower while the habit is being formed, but once it forms a new neural pathway and way of being, the routine becomes easier to follow than not, and the energy and willpower required to form the habit are freed up to enable you to perform better and achieve even better results.
