On Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari met behind closed doors in Aso Rock with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress.
Tinubu stated after the meeting that he came to thank the president for checking on him in London following knee surgery.
“I came to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting me in London when I had knee surgery. He demonstrated empathy. He is an exceptional leader,” he said.
On Thursday, August 13, InsightnaijaTV reported that Buhari paid a visit to Tinubu in London, United Kingdom.
Bashir Ahmad, a presidential adviser, shared images from the visit, showing Tinubu leaning on a walking stick as he posed for a photo with President Buhari.
Tinubu, who is rumored to be eyeing the presidency in 2023, met with Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbanjo on Friday.
