Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former minister of education, claims there is no way she will abandon Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, and support the other front-runners in the 2023 election.
She claimed that the top three candidates could easily be graded using information that is readily available to the public, and based on her ratings, the Labour Party candidate is in the lead over the other contenders.
“To the specific issue of a presidential candidacy, what I said and which I repeat everywhere that I am asked is that I look at the other two candidates and I rate them immediately on the basis of what we know, and for the three candidates there is publicly available information with which to do the rating.
“So after I have done my rating, there is absolutely no way I would leave a Peter Obi and vote for any of the other two candidates,” Ezekwesili said on Channels Television Hard Copy programme.

A tremendous thirst for change is coming from the young sector of the population, which accounts for 60% of the voting population and many of them are leaning towards Obi’s administration, according to the former World Bank Vice President for Africa, who made this observation in his statement.
According to her, women, who make up roughly 51% of voters, are more likely to support Peter Obi for president. She also added that the former governor of Anambra’s chances cannot be discounted given the diversity of the nation’s regions and their desire for inclusive administration.
One of the things that will excite people who have entered politics to bring about change, according to Ezekwesili, is the improved voter’s activeness. He added that today’s electorate is not as disengaged as it was in 2019 and before.
She added that the wave of interest that exists today wasn’t present as of 2019. Instead, she observed that young people, particularly women, are much more aware because they are tired of the government’s failure.
