At Mile 2, along the Badagry Expressway, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed displeasure at the way residents dump and block the drainage channels with refuse, causing a section of the road around under the Mile 2 Bridge to fail, despite the clearing of the blocked drains about two weeks ago.
Governor Sanwo-Olu appealed to those living around the axis to desist from the harmful habit noted that tax payers’ money are being wasted on reconstruction and continuous clearing of refuse from the water channels and also promised that concrete/rigid pavements would be constructed, with a dedicated channel that will take water from the axis to the Lagoon to further discourage residents from indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
