The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu has charged Heads of Parastatals and agencies under the State Government employ, to contribute their quota towards achieving the Greater Lagos dreams.
Governor Sanwo-olu who gave the charge during a one – day interactive session with the Heads of Eovernment’s Agencies at the State House, Alausa-lkeja, organised by the Parastatal Monitoring Office, PMO, said the impact of these Parastatals and agencies must felt by Lagosians in line with the THEMES agenda of the current administration.
The governor who described governance as a football team that every individual player must be committed to the success of the team, maintained that the aspirations of the residents can only be met, when all Head of parastatals and agencies put in their best towards achieving all set goals of Government.
On his part, the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat noted that the objective of the current administration is ” ” Making Lagos Africa’s Model Mega City and Global and Economic safe hub, hence the need for team work among all stakeholders in governance.
In a lecture, the guest speaker at the event , Dr. Mumini Alao, the publisher of a leading Sports Newspaper, noted that lack of funds and incompetency of personnel could be a great hindrance in achieving any target, hence the need for Government to always consider the capabilities of any individual before giving them responsibilities.

Eariler in his welcome address, the Special Adviser to the Governor, Parastatal Monitoring Office, Mr Afolabi Ayantayo who explained that the PMO was established in Lagos in 1987 to monitor the efficiency of Heads of Parastatals and Agencies,
reiterated the Office’s committment to continually key into the vision of the State Government for a better and rewarding Lagos.
Over One hundred top Government appointees attended the meeting.
