After leaving Manchester United in January 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo recently moved to Al Nassr. He stated that the Saudi Pro League team will “probably” be his final club before he retires and that he may complete his long football career there.
The 39-year-old Portugal international was rumoured to be considering retiring at Sporting Lisbon, where he spent his formative years, but with his most recent statement, that seems unlikely. Ronaldo has scored 898 goals in his career, 130 of which have been for Portugal. He has stated that he wants to play for his country and that his commitment to the national team is his top priority.
Ronaldo stated, “I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years, but probably here at Al Nassr,” in an interview with the Portuguese TV station Now.
“I’m happy at this club; I feel good in this country, too. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue.”

“When I leave the national team, I won’t tell anyone in advance and it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but also a very well thought-out one,” he said.
“Right now what I want is to be able to help the national team in their upcoming matches.
Accordingly, it is anticipated that Cristiano Ronaldo will receive an invitation to Portugal’s September 5 match against Croatia and September 8 match against Scotland.
