Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant, has made fun of Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, following the defeat of Governor Gboyea Oyetola in the Osun governorship race.
Recall that Oyetola, the APC candidate for governor, lost to Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was proclaimed the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday morning.
Omokri poked fun of Tinubu for saying he had never lost an election during the APC mega rally in Ekiti State last month in a post on his Twitter page on Sunday.
After his cousin, the incumbent governor, was defeated, the former presidential assistant claimed the APC presidential contender could no longer make the assertion.
Given that Osun state is purportedly Tinubu’s home state, Omokri claimed that the situation is far worse for him.
He wrote: “Tinubu’s greatest boast has consistently been: ‘I have never lost an election.’ After yesterday, he can’t make that claim. And it is much worse for Tinubu, being that the state he lost is his **** state. The domino effect has started and won’t stop!”
