There are strong speculation that the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi will announce his defection from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) anytime soon.
Ajayi who had contested the Governorship primary election under the flagship of PDP and lost to Eyitayo Jegede may be on his way out of the party to contest the October Governorship election on the platform of ZLP.
Recall, Ajayi dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in June 21, to join PDP in a bid to contest Governorship election.
However, sources have indicated that lots of T- shirts and Face caps has been produced in preparation for the proposed defection of Ajayi to ZLP.
Some of the Supporters of Ajayi on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 thronged in Okitipupa to form a “third force” to challenge the two major political parties, The APC and PDP in the October Governorship election.
They said the position of Deputy Governor offered to the district by Governor Akeredolu is not acceptable to them and it is due time for the South Senatorial district to govern the State.
