On Friday, two members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) are said to have died.
Musa Momoh Tunde died at the Dankingari Orientation Camp in Kebbi State two days after being sworn in.
Bida, a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, fell while watching an inter-platoon battle, according to sources. All attempts to revive him were failed.
His body was laid to rest in the Kebbi State central cemetery on Saturday, according to Islamic rituals.
Major General Shuaib Ibrahim, the Director-General of the NYSC, paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Kubwa, Abuja, where he characterized him as a highly patriotic citizen who died in the service of the country.
Ajang Blessing Ajiji, another corps member, reportedly slumped and died on the same day at her primary duty in Nasarawa State.
When Ajiji died at Government Junior Secondary School, Mangar, Farin Ruwa Development Area, Wamba Council Area, she was apparently suffering from pneumonia.
The deceased will be laid to rest in Plateau State on March 29, 2022.
