Following two successful elections as a councillor, his political journey took a notable turn when he was elected as the majority leader of the council’s legislative body. He subsequently worked as a Supervisor on Political Affairs before being appointed the secretary of the Local Council. Muibi Alade Folawiyo was evidently well-prepared for the responsibilities he took on before assuming his current role as Executive Chairman, and therefore, he merits all the support he can receive.

About four years ago, Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo competed for the position of Chairman. With a solid foundation of trust, efficiency, generosity, and philanthropy established in his earlier political roles, his popularity surged rapidly, leading everyone to rally behind his campaign. The subsequent events are now part of history!

Back to the breezes! A few years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo through his community food market, which offered monthly subsidized access to food at remarkably low prices that were both astounding and sincere.

Since that time, I have consistently followed his various programs, keeping track of his projects, initiatives, and accomplishments. In addition to building a turion-free Montessori nursery and primary school where students receive free writing supplies, school bags and uniforms, his free school bus shuttle initiative has become a lifeline for students on Lagos Island.

In addition to building state-of-the-art estates at the back of Sura Public Health Centre (PHC), now known as Prof. Shafdeen Adeniyi Amuwo PHC, and another at the back of Phase 2, Low Cost Housing Estate, Adeniji Adele Road, the Muibi administration has successfully constructed hospitals with Morden equipment and facilities, including durable roads. The Council’s new ultra morden secretariat at Zappers is an architectural masterpiece, and the well-known Sangroue and Ebutelefun markets wear new, amazing appearances.

When Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo took office almost four years ago, he immediately started to perch on large, weighty projects. He knocked them off the air with a whistle blast. Even during his first hundred days in office, he cleaned things up and made everyone smile. His commitment to his people’s well-being is demonstrated by his multiple social welfare interventions and empowerment initiatives including his continued support to the physically challenged.

Alade has provided a brilliant and brighter cloud over the Council Area since its inception, with developmental projects encompassing all ten wards.

Today’s grassroots development initiatives in Lagos Island East Lcda, spearheaded by Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo’s administration, are so good that anyone, particularly those who support progress, good works, and human advancements, would have to acknowledge the excellent work Muibi and his group of forward-thinking Council officials are doing.

Days have turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, and it’s time to return to the field for another round of Lagos State local government/council elections. This time, the goal is to showcase his unmatched accomplishments as the Council Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area since taking office, rather than to argue for political aspiration support.

I can reassure all hopeful individuals that Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo, the first-timer Council Chairman, has admirably met and adhered to all recognised developmental requirements in the Five Key Areas of Development: Social Welfair, Education, Infrastructure, Environment, and Human/Healthcare Development.
Therefore, it is time for the good people of Lagos Island East LCDA to show this “Omoluabi” that we have his back in the upcoming Local Government Election. We will go to the polls to do what is necessary. It is time to demonstrate that “MUIBI S’eniyan”.

Finally, as we get ready to vote in the Lagos State Local Government/Council elections on July 12, let’s all demonstrate our support for this path and make sure that we are included in the group of people who made it possible.
