Manchester United has expressed remorse for the firing of manager David Moyes.
According to Jim White, a club insider, the club feels guilty for the Scot’s disastrous spell at Old Trafford.
Moyes was appointed manager of Manchester United on July 1, 2013, after signing a six-year contract with the club.
Sir Alex Ferguson hand-picked the former Everton manager, and a banner saying “The Chosen One” was hung at Old Trafford after his appointment.
However, he was fired just nine months later and is now enjoying a comeback at West Ham.
White told talkSPORT: “Sources inside the football club have told Moyes that they didn’t give him the right structure to be successful and they believe it was their fault and not his.
“They believe it was the wrong time for Moyes to come to the football club.
