In the same way that he claimed to be the most competent candidate running for president, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), believes the 2023 elections are about the youth and that they should take advantage of the chance to make a difference.
If elected, Obi promised to address the poverty cycle and other problems plaguing Nigeria at a town hall meeting with University of Abuja students.

If elected, he promised that the education sector wouldn’t suffer and added that Nigeria’s issues were caused by political leadership that had failed the nation.
Because there can only be one government in a country at a time, Obi stated that maintaining the country’s security remains his first concern. He said that his administration will talk with protesters and deal with any potential opponents.
The university’s vice chancellor, Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, stated that the meeting’s goal was to address political-related topics and added that “intellectual involvement is the bedrock of political leadership.” He praised Obi for coming to the school to motivate the pupils and said that individuals who want to lead the country must be carefully vetted.
