Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Igboho, a notable Yoruba Nation agitator, has issued a new eviction notice for notorious herders involved in abduction and robbery in the South West zone.
The call, sent via audio message by his spokeswoman, Olayomi Koiki, followed increasing conflicts in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State, where villagers have faced heightened violence, including kidnappings and deaths by herders.
A few weeks ago, Igboho gave these herders a warning to leave the region, and he recommended setting up local security groups to shield farmers from continued threats and violence.
Koiki said in Yoruba during the audio transmission, “Today is July 15, 2024. About 6:00 p.m., this breaking news is released. All Fulani individuals residing in Oke Ogun, hiding among the bushes, who are kidnappers and murdering people, have to go right now. Igboho declared on Sunday that he would carry on working in Oke-Ogun, in Kishi, and in all the areas that comprised Oke-Ogun. He promised to touch every last location.

“All Fulanis should leave the bush in Oke-Ogun. The forest does not belong to you. The land belongs to us. He added that he is also waiting for the Obas in other parts of Yoruba land to speak up if they are witnessing attacks from Fulani people in their domains.”
According to the tape, Igboho stated unequivocally that he is not battling any governor, but is prepared to drive the herders who are bothering his people out of the zone. He went on to say that his soldiers will search all of the woodlands now held by herders across the Yoruba territories after obtaining permission from rulers in Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti, and Osun states.
According to him, his men “are currently working on how to storm the forest in Oke Ogun land in Oyo State and warn all Fulani living there to vacate immediately.”
