Mr. Kefas Ishaya, the catechist at St. Monica Catholic Church, Ikulu-Pari, in the Chawai Chiefdom of Kauru Local Government, Kaduna State, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen.
According to reports, the assailants kidnapped the catechist after failing to capture his boss, Rev. Fr. Joseph Shekari, who had left the area and was not at home at the time of the attack.

The abductors arrived at the church’s Ikulu Zone at 9.30 p.m., Mr. Sunday Bage, the chairman of the zone, said. They then pulled the catechist to a bush.
The Catechist was taken away at around 9.30 p.m. and taken to a bush, according to Mr. Sunday Bage, the chairman of the parish’s Ikulu Zone.
