In Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, gunmen thought to be herdsmen have once more killed no less than seven people.
The murder occurs less than twenty-four hours after 18 more people died in a battle between bandits and vigilantes in the Wase Council Area of the state.
The most recent deaths in Jos South LGA were reported to newsmen in Jos on Monday by Rwang Tengwong, national publicity secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders Association.
Seven fatalities have been reported at the Danda Chugwi settlement as a result of a Fulani Militia attack, according to Tengwong.
“The attack happened on Sunday, 31/07/2022 at around 9:00pm.
“Others who sustain serious gun injuries have been taken to Vom Christian hospital for immediate medical attention.”
As at the time this report was filed, the state’s security agencies, including the police and the military special taskforce charged with maintaining the calm, had not made any official statements regarding the killings.
