Euro 2020 Tournament Kicks Off This Weekend

Euro 2020 finally kicks off on Friday, June 11, 2021 as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal prepare to defend their title and world champions France seek a rare double a year after the tournament was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. UEFA EURO 2020 will take place between 11 June and 11 July 2021.

The revised dates were approved by the UEFA Executive Committee on 17 June 2020, with the tournament now taking place from 11 June to 11 July 2021. UEFA EURO 2020 was postponed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Revised venues were approved by the UEFA Executive Committee on 23 April 2021.

 

The group A fixtures sees the clash between Turkey and Italy on Friday 11 June at 8pm. Wales and Switzerland are scheduled to meet on Saturday 12 June at 2pm.

Belgium and their ‘Golden Generation’ of players will be the centre of attention in Group B with Russia on Saturday 12 June at 8pm.

Austria will meet with North Macedonia at 5pm in group C while the Netherlands, who are refers to as the ‘big dogs’ of the group will be facing Ukraine on Sunday 13 June at 8pm.

England will be faceing Croatia on Sunday 13 June at 2pm in the group D features. England will play all of their matches at Wembley Stadium in London and look to take full advantage of a squad which includes the likes of Harry Kane, Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.  Scotland will play Czech Republic on Monday, June 14 at 2pm.

In group E, the three-time Euro champions, Spain will meet with Sweden by 8pm on Monday June, 14 while Poland versus Slovakia will air at 5pm same day.

Hungary will meet with Portugal by 5pm on Tuesday June 15, while France will face Germany by 8pm same day.
