The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday, August 9, 2020 stated that the ongoing bridge construction at Costain will be completed soon.
Sanwo-Olu the Contractor had been charged to quickly complete the project to reduce traffic congestion and expressed hope that the closed section of the Eko Bridge at Alaka being handled by the Federal Government would possibly be opened by September.

He pleaded for the co-operation and understanding of the motoring public during this construction exercise.
