Epe Local Government has commenced the patching of the Ilamija and Okorisan end of the Lekki-Epe Expressway to ease traffic.
The Chairman, Epe Local Government, Mr, Adedoyin Adesanya who expressed joy at the work done so far said, the actual reconstruction of the road would commence soon..
He said the intervention of the local Government became necessary to reduce traffic and accidents on the road which has crippled economic activities and led to loss of lives and valuables.
Mr Adesanya said the palliative repairs would be extended to other red spots in the town while other projects would be completed as soon as possible.
The Chairman urged residents to desist from illegal dumping of refuse and other illegal activities that contributes to the clogging of drainages, destroys the roads and lead to flooding.
He said the Council has in the last few years embarked on regular clearing of the drains in parts of the Community and will continue to do so to make life easier for residents of Epe.
