Following the defection of the embattled Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki to the People Democratic Party (PDP), the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has describe the step as insignificant.
The National Publicity Secretary of APC Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu disclosed this in Abuja noting that Obaseki’s move to PDP was not a surprise.
“It has not come to us as a surprise. We knew he had defected long ago because he resigned his membership of the party which we have accepted”.
It will be recalled that Obaseki resigned from the APC after the screening committee disqualified him from the June 22nd Governorship primary.
