Federal Government Declares June12 Democracy Day.

Federal Government has announced Friday, June 12,2020 as a work free day in Nigeria to mark this year’s Democracy Day Celebration.

The Minister for Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola made the declaration in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Georgina Ehuriah.

Ogbeni Aregbesola who made the declaration on behalf of Federal Government compliment Nigerians home and in diaspora for securing Democratic rule in the Country.
The Minister also describe the heroes of democracy as patriotic citizens for their unrelenting effort which eventually gave birth to Democratic Governance in the Country.
He also urge Nigerians to support the present administration led by President Muhammad Buhari in actualizing the democratic ideal fought for, by the heroes.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to compliment the effort of Government in containing the spread of COVID-19 in the Country and ensure maintaining social distancing, proper use of mask and other directives giving by the appropriate authorities.
