The G5, also known as the Integrity Group, visited President Bola Tinubu to inform him of the most recent events and the group’s position on fairness, equity, and justice in the nation, according to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
Makinde further noted that nation-building is a difficult process and requires ongoing examination while being flanked by the four other members of the group who are currently the immediate past governors. He stated that the G5 will continue to consult with the President on the direction the nation should go.

Speaking to reporters, Oyo’s governor said: “Nation building is a very difficult task. You have to keep evaluating, you know what you’re doing, where you’re going. So, we have to keep seeing the President, you know, to let him know what is happening.
“The G-5, the Integrity Group, came to let the President know what we stood for: fairness, justice, and equity.
Makinde was present at the meeting along with four past party governors. They include Peter Mbah, the current governor of Enugu State, as well as previous governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu).
The G5, a group of aggrieved PDP politicians, opposed Atiku Abubakar’s candidature for president in the most recent elections and supported the transfer of power back to Southern Nigeria.
