The owner of the well-known Lagos restaurant Bukka Hut, Mr. Laolu Martins, is said to have committed suicide.
Martins, a banker with more than 21 years of expertise in asset and pension fund management, corporate banking, stockbroking, and investment banking. Martins was in charge of asset and pension funds. His passing was confirmed by the deceased’s family in a statement released on Wednesday.
Also, Journalist Eniola Daniel revealed the sad news of Martins death on Twitter and claimed that Laolu Martins committed suicide in Lekki, Lagos, at around 3 a.m. today, September 28, 2022.
“Bukka Hut’s founder commits suicide.” Laolu Martins, the founder of Bhukka Hospitality Limited, is said to have killed himself this morning at around 3 a.m. in Lekki, Lagos. So sad.
He claimed that he committed suicide for a reason I don’t want to mention here, according to a friend of his and other sources.
His age has not yet been determined as of the time of this writing.
Unverified source reported that Martins committed suicide at home in the early hours of Tuesday morning after giving up on his protracted battle against depression.
