Nasiru Ila has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on National Assembly Matters by President Muhammadu Buhari (House of Representatives).
Ila’s appointment was announced by the President’s media adviser, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Sunday, as seen by InsightnaijaTV.
Before entering politics, Ila, a graduate of Victory College in Alexandria and West London College in the United Kingdom, was a prosperous businessman with holdings in haulage, ginning, and tannery.
He was elected to the National Assembly’s lower chamber in 2011 and 2015 to represent Kano’s Tarauni Federal Constituency.
The president’s assistant claims that the Chartered Member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) will take the place of Umar El-Yakub, who has been named Minister.
