14 Directors have been selected by the Muhammadu Buhari-led federal administration for the position of Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF).
Recall that Mr. Chukwuyere N. Anamekwe had been superseded by Buhari as the acting Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF).
According to information obtained by InsightnaijaTV, Anamekwe was removed due to charges of corruption and an EFCC probe hanging over his head.
Further information was collected from claims that he was replaced by Mr. Okolieaboh Ezeoke Sylvis, a former TSA (Treasury Single Account) Director.
You may recall that Anamekwe was appointed in an acting capacity after Ahmed Idris was suspended following his arrest by the EFCC on suspicion of money laundering through real estate transactions in Kano and Abuja after being involved in a N80 billion fraud case.
InsightnaijaTV gathered that on July 6, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) received a new circular from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), which was signed by Mariya A. D. Rufai, Director (Administration).
Rufai claims that the circular was created in response to the HoS’s request for a list of potential Directors, one of whom will be chosen to serve as the Federation’s Accountant General.
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation is where the majority of Directors of Finance and Administration (DFAs) in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are most frequently deployed from (OAGF).
Muhammad Murtala Saleh, Chizea Onochie Peter, and Lydia Jafiya Shehu from the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation are among the 14 Directors who have been selected for the job of AGF.
Bakre Modupe Julianah (Ministry of Police Affairs); Danladi Comfort Zakowi(NSCDC); Abah George Fidelis (Nigeria Immigration); Omachi Raymond Omenka (Ministry of Interior) and lbrahim Saadiyya Jibo (National Boundary Commission).
Others are; Mohammed Aminu YarAbba (Federal Fire Service), Samuel A. Waziri (Ministry of Agric and Rural Development), Mahmud Adam Kambari (North East Development Commission), Mohammed Magaji M. Doho (Federal Ministry of Education), Mufutahu Bukolah(Federal Ministry of Transportation) and Yusuf Abdullahi Musa II (Fed. Min. Information and Culture).
