The selling of Expressions of Interest and Nomination forms has been postponed by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This means that members of the party who want to run for one of the elective offices will have to wait a bit.
The ruling party had planned to start selling forms on Saturday, but a visit to the party secretariat revealed that the exercise had been delayed.
The snafu was blamed on the contractor’s tardiness, according to a source at the party secretariat. He stated that the paperwork had not been supplied by the contractor as of Friday’s closing of business.
The sale of the forms will begin soon after they were delivered to the secretariat and logistics were fine-tuned, according to the source.
“The delay is because the contractor did not deliver the forms as at close of work on Friday, but may deliver before the weekend runs out”
“If that happens, sale of forms could begin on Monday or Tuesday.
