The Labour Party’s Peter Obi, who is running for president in 2023, claimed that despite Asiwaju Bola Tinubu‘s apparent illness, Nigerians are supporting him to to run for the office of the President because he distributes money.
While speaking with Nigerians recently in Belgium, Obi made this statement, saying: “Once he gets here and gives you money, you would say Jagaban is the best candidate even when the man is not well.

Mr. Obi said, “Someone told me that this candidate fought the Abacha dictatorship to stay in place. that he even suffered a total loss. But he now has two aircraft, I countered. Where is his business? We are facing a problem, my brother.
“I’m pleading with all of us because of this. Let’s go and retake our nation, running it like any other where the ruler is accountable to the populace. The populace has the right to criticise their leader’s misdeeds and conduct. In our system, bad behaviour has come to represent success.
On Saturday, Njenje Media TV posted the video to YouTube. Obi acknowledged being in the European nation on Thursday while meeting with EU representatives, but the exact date the video was shot cannot be confirmed.

Concerns regarding 70-year-old Tinubu’s fitness to serve as president have persisted due to his deteriorating health.
In February, a viral video showed Tinubu’s flowing garment being wet from behind as his security assistant covered his nose.
However, the former governor of Lagos State has stated that one does not need to be physically strong to be president of Nigeria.
